Basically you weren’t supposed to be very social or wear anything other than very simple black outfits and dark crepe for about a year. The rules were harder on women than men, and some people were stricter about these customs than others.

In the picture above you’ll notice I accidentally drew this dude with 3 arms. I inked it and painted it and did not realize it until I had scanned it in! Very tempted to just do stories about the amazing 3 armed boss now.
