Reason #1 why my TCAF haul is the best. HAND MADE Chesty doll by Rebecca ( @livetwatthebat )
She is hand crocheted and the detail is amazing from her little eyelashes to her individual fingers! She doesn’t have wire bones but she is surprisingly…flexible, DAYUM.
I nearly fell out of my chair when Rebecca gave her to me.

Two new pages of Chester 5000: Isabelle and George:
“A widow was supposed to wear mourning for two years and was not supposed to enter society for twelve months.”
Basically you weren’t supposed to be very social or wear anything other than very simple black outfits and dark crepe for about a year. The rules were harder on women than men, and some people were stricter about these customs than others.
More info about Victorian mourning dress and the etiquette it involved: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mourning
Sample panel from my story, Busking Beguile, in the Smut Peddler Anthology. Available as a book or PDF.
