Well thanks Rachel! :D
By Fun House do you mean Fun Home? If that’s the case and you liked it you could continue on an Alison Bechdel kick and read Are You My Mother? and The Essential Dykes To Watch Out For collection. I just read both of those and they are spectacular! AYMM is an exploration of Bechdel’s relationship with her mother through her relationship with therapy/psychology. DTWOF is a bit less intense because it’s a strip but it’s just as intricately written and amazing to read! I’m blown away by the passage of time in DTWOF and how real it makes the characters feel, she wrote it over the span of more than 25 years!
If you want something sexy though I can’t recommend Gus and His Gang by Chris Blain ENOUGH. It is gorgeously drawn, funny, sexy and beautiful.
If you haven’t yet, dip into the world of French comics, there is SO MUCH to read.
Joann Sfar is one of my favorite comic authors, if you haven’t read anything by him definitely pick up Vampire Loves, The Professor’s Daughter, The Rabbi’s Cat (1&2) and his version of The Little Prince.
Haha I could go on forever but that’s a good start!
